A two-run triple by Kailey Williams in the top of the seventh helped Shiner erase a 4-2 deficit and Williams later scored what would be the winning run as Shiner rallied from 4-1 to edge Hawley 5-4 Wednesday afternoon in the Class 2A state semifinals at the University of Texas’ Red & Charline McCombs Field. Shiner will head into the state title game for a record fifth time and will play Harleton this afternoon.
